Euxyl K903 is a broad-spectrum preservative designed to protect cosmetic and personal care formulations from bacterial, yeast, and mold contamination. It is suitable for use in both leave-on and rinse-off formulations. The preservative is compatible with most cosmetic ingredients and maintains stability across a wide pH range, typically 3 to 8.

INCI: Benzyl Alcohol, Benzoic Acid, Dehydroacetic Acid

Appearance: Clear to slightly yellow liquid
Solubility: Partially soluble in water
Usage rate: 0.3% – 1.0%
pH range: 3.0 – 8.0
Storage: Keep tightly sealed in a cool, dry area away from direct sunlight.

DIY Formula Example: Natural Face Cream (100 g batch)

Phase A – Water Phase

• Distilled Water – 60 g

• Aloe Vera Juice – 10 g

Phase B – Oil Phase

• Sweet Almond Oil – 10 g

• Shea Butter – 8 g

• Emulsifying Wax – 6 g

Phase C – Cool Down

• Vitamin E – 0.5 g

• Euxyl K903 – 0.8 g

• Essential Oil (optional) – 0.2 g

• Panthenol – 0.5 g

Instructions:

1. Heat Phase A and Phase B separately to 70°C.

2. Combine and blend until emulsified.

3. Allow to cool to below 40°C.

4. Add Phase C ingredients and stir until uniform.

5. Pour into a sterilized container and label.
