Description
Coco glucoside is a natural, non-ionic surfactant that’s made from renewable materials like coconut and fruit sugars. It’s commonly used in cosmetics, skincare, and hair care products, such as body washes, shampoos, and scrubs. Coco glucoside is gentle on the skin and hair, and it can also be used to solubilize essential oils in water.
The active surfactant matter (ASM) of coco glucoside is 55%. ASM is the percentage of a surfactant in a product, and it’s important to know when deciding how much of an ingredient to use in a formulation. For example, you might use less surfactant in a facial cleanser than in a body cleanser.
When using coco glucoside, you should take precautions like wearing gloves, eye protection, and working in a well-ventilated room. You should also keep ingredients and hot oils away from children, and seek immediate medical advice if it’s ingested or gets into your eyes
